Joy In Giving

It has been three weeks now and I have not finished anything yet. I have not finished The Dreamwalker’s Soul Mate. But you know what? Few little ideas are already there for the next book, isn’t that amazing? Also, I have edited the first five chapters and they are getting better and better. There are some things about Soul Mate which I still need to work on with. Still I know everything is showing good signs. If you want to check the first chapter, kindly click here. I would love to hear from you. Just message me on facebook. Thank you in advance.

On the other hand, I enjoyed so much the last Sunday service at church. Even though, it was the second time that Gracia and I arrived late at church! It was really embarrassing to enter the room where everyone was already seated and Pastor Ernie was already preaching God’s grace. I don’t give excuses to that but I hope next week, we’ll get there on time.

I thought the message would be about Christmas. Anyway it was still good. Not because of our pastor but because of God using him to tell us the message. It was about tithing or giving, kind of controversial in some churches. It really breaks my heart to hear churches getting split because of money issue. Personally God has been great in my life that there are no words to express His greatness in my life. Just like what was mentioned in the Sunday service, giving is grace.

In Old Testament, tithing was like taxes that people were obliged to give. It was because if they did not give the tenth of their products, they would be cursed. That was kind of scary to know. I am so glad that I was born into a generation blessed by Jesus Christ. In our time, we should celebrate and be thankful that our Lord Jesus Christ had paid the tithes on the cross.

So now, giving is grace. We are not required to give but if we find it in our hearts that we want to give, we go and give. If you have something to give but you feel like holding back, you better do not give. The LORD looks in the heart of the giver. So if you can give more than anyone could give but if you are feeling obliged, that’s not healthy. Talk to God about it and pray to help you give with a pure heart. Remember, God appreciates and blesses a cheerful giver.

Happy giving, everyone!
