I Will Rest In You

I will rest in You.

I Will Rest In You - Jaci Velasquez

Tell me I'm a fool,
Tell me that You love me for the fool I am,
[And*] comfort me like only You can,
And tell me there's a place
Where I can feel Your breath
Like sweet caresses on my face again.

Take me back to You,
The place that I once knew as a little child;
Constantly the eyes of God watched over me.
Oh, I want to be
In the place that I once knew as a little child,
Fall into the bed of faith prepared for me.

I will rest in You,
I will rest in You,
I will rest in You.

I will rest in You,
I will rest in You,
I will rest in You.

La la la la You.
La la la la la.
La la la la la-ah.
(You,) You la la la la You.
La la la la la-ah. (You.)

Take me back to You.
The place that I once knew as a little child;
Constantly the eyes of God watched over me
Oh, I want to be
In the place that I once knew as a little child,
Fall into the bed of faith prepared for me.

I will rest in You,
I will rest in You,
I will rest in You.

I will rest in You,
I will rest in You,
I will rest in You.

Oh, la la la la la
I will rest in You.
(I) I will rest in You. (in You)
I will rest in You. (Sweet caresses)
I will rest in You.
I will rest in You.
(So take me back to You)
I will rest in You (I, I)
I will rest in You.

An Open Prayer

Psalm 18:2-3: "The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies."

My LORD God,

Life is too difficult for me. I have been riding the same roller coaster ride since I learned the truth. Pains and fears had come and gone. Every time I feel so alone, I just think of you, trying to grasp the power there is within me. The power of Your love is amazing. You are always making me cry. Because You are so good to me. I had been lost so many times before. I got so afraid. I had been in chaos for a very long time. And there You were, the greatest God of the universe, coming in to rescue me. I thank You so much, my LORD. I had surrendered all my dreams to you. Now I let You to take me through all this.

Now I want to tell you, from this day forward, I'll do my best to be the son You want me to become. Protect me with Your holy blood. Guide me through. I trust in You.

And forgive me once again. #

Do It With Him

Have you ever felt you couldn't just forgive yourself at all? That every time you try you feel like going crazy if you keep trying? It is very painful. Sometimes you wish you didn't do it. Still you know it was already part of your history. You tried praying and things seem not working the way they should be. You look at other people who are just the same as you are, however, it seems like they could manage it way better than you do. Then you thought of giving up, didn't want to do it anymore, the forgiving part. Still, you are too guilty to ignore it. Arg, that sounds serious trouble. Especially when you know that you have sought God's forgiveness many times before that you don't think you deserve another chance of God's graciousness. But hey, take a deep breath, hold it for a second, then release.

The message says:

You say: "I can't forgive myself."
God says: I forgive you.
(I John 1:9 & Romans 8:1)

Isn't it so wonderful? That God, our so beautiful God, understands us and His love is so great that no one will not be forgiven as long as you seek for it. So try it one more time. Don't do it alone. Learn to forgive yourself. This time, do it with Him. And He will bless you once again. Amen.#
